Garam Masala Hummus Recipe

Hummus is a popular Middle Eastern spread or a dip prepared with cooked chickpeas, mashed and blended with ingredients such as tahini, lemon juice etc. Usually eaten with pita bread, we have a recipe with a spicy twist of garam masala.

Ingredients>

  • 2 cups Chickpeas, soft boiled
  • 1 Clove Garlic
  • 1/3 cup Olive Oil
  • 2 tbsp Tahini
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 2 tsp Cee Pee Garam Masala
  • ¼ tsp Cee Pee Jeera Powder
  • ¾ tsp Salt

For Garnishing

  • 1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Cee Pee Garam Masala
  • 1 tsp White sesame Seeds

Method

  • Begin with combining all the ingredients in food processor, except for ingredients mentioned for garnishing.
  • Process the mixture for about a minute at low speed. Stop in between and scrape the sides if required.
  • Keep processing the mixture until creamy texture is achieved. If you prefer grainy texture, grind it for lesser time.
  • Take out the thick paste in a bowl and garnish with olive oil, sesame seeds and garam masala.
